ABOUT

The Hangzhou Grand Canal project illustrates how a typical stand-alone shopping center can transform into a place that breathes life and vitality into a larger urban typology. This collection of newly interwoven and interconnected districts, overlooking the historic Grand Canal, creates a microcosm of urban life.

The Shopping Arcade, Central Plaza, Restaurant Row, Business District, Residential Enclave, 6 Star Hotel, City Park, and meandering Street activities with cultural and artistic sculptures sprinkled throughout, create a natural and true destination, blurring the lines between the typical and the unique – a set of places within a total environment of Communal gathering and Cultural enlightenment
