This new three-story facility is being used by LAUSD as a prototype for small urban sites that will accommodate 50-60 classrooms. The 92,000 sf, K-5 elementary school for 1,176 students is located in an urban neighborhood on a tight 3.18-acre site. The school was designed as a three-story multi-level scheme with subterranean parking, preserving as much site area for playground as possible. In addition it includes 176 seats for an Early Childhood Education Center, 51 classrooms, a library, cafeteria, and health offices.
